Major components include:
- A compact projector, receiver, and a small dry side Sonar Interface Module.
- The extremely low power draw of 75W makes it possible to operate the system on vessel battery power.
- Focused 0.45° x 0.45° beamwidths with up to 800m+ or more sounding depths*
- Optional 90kHz/100kHz operation for extended range coverage.
Unlike other commercial shallow water multibeam echosounder systems, R2Sonic’s sonar processing is embedded in the receiver, dramatically increasing system efficiency and simplicity in integration.
The compact size, low weight, low power consumption and elimination of separate topside processors makes the SONIC 2026 system well suited for small survey vessel or ROV/AUV operations.
Basic mounting hardware is supplied as standard with each system, including dual head mounting brackets.
