Astra Quanta Q5-23
The Astra Quanta Q5-23 is a high-performance 5 GHz point-to-point unit with an integrated dual-polarized antenna providing 23 dBi gain and 10×10° beamwidth. It is designed for medium-range links up to 40 km, offering stable and reliable connectivity.
Operating across 4900–6000 MHz, it supports flexible channel widths from 3.5 MHz to 56 MHz. Net throughput reaches up to 650 Mbps in 56 MHz channels, 460 Mbps in 40 MHz, and 230 Mbps in 20 MHz. The device uses MIMO 2x2 with SC-FDE, offering robust links even in challenging interference environments, and supports 14 modulation schemes from QPSK 1/4 to QAM256 7/8 for optimal link adaptation.
It operates in TDD and H-FDD duplex modes, allows uplink/downlink ratios configurable from 50:50 to 92:8, and air frame durations from 1 to 10 ms. Features include automatic bitrate control, automatic transmit power control, distance learning, DFS/radar detection, and a built-in spectrum analyzer for simplified deployment and optimized link performance.
Networking features include Layer-2 switching, VLAN 802.1q, IEEE 802.1p QoS, and transparent Ethernet transport. It has a combo Gigabit Ethernet/SFP interface and supports up to 15 W power. Its compact, integrated design is suitable for medium-range, high-throughput point-to-point links.
