The Tallysman TW162 Smart Power GNSS Splitter is a professional-grade solution engineered for high-availability GNSS applications in safety, security, timing, and infrastructure systems. Earlier-generation GNSS splitters relied on a single powered receiver, creating a single point of failure that could interrupt service if that receiver failed or was disconnected.

The TW162 addresses this limitation with a Smart Power design that accepts power from all attached receivers. Port #1 is prioritized if its voltage is within the specified range, and the splitter automatically switches to the next available port if needed, ensuring deterministic and uninterrupted operation. If the antenna fails and draws no current, the TW162 signals a fault by limiting the current draw to less than 2 mA, while continuing to power other connected receivers.

Delivering best-in-class performance in noise figure, isolation, and linearity, the TW162 is housed in a robust, corrosion-protected military-grade aluminum (6061-T6) enclosure. It is compact, lightweight, and IP67-rated for water ingress protection. Connector options include TNC or type-N, and the splitter provides standard gain to compensate for signal-splitting loss, ensuring reliable signal distribution for multiple receivers in demanding environments.
