The Astra Evolution E6-BSI is a 6 GHz outdoor base station sector designed for high-capacity, point-to-multipoint wireless networks. It features an integrated dual-polarized 16 dBi antenna with a 90° horizontal and 8° vertical beamwidth, providing coverage for distances up to 20 kilometers.

The unit supports channel widths from 10 to 80 MHz and delivers up to 800 Mbps throughput in an 80 MHz channel. MIMO 2x2 and OFDM 64/128 technologies optimize spectral efficiency and ensure stable performance in high-interference environments.

Advanced radio features include automatic bitrate and transmit power control, dynamic distance learning, configurable uplink/downlink ratios from 50:50 to 92:8, and adjustable airframe timing from 1 to 10 ms. Built-in spectrum analysis, antenna alignment tools, and DFS/radar detection facilitate easy installation and compliant operation in shared frequency bands.

Networking capabilities include Ethernet-over-IP and IP-over-IP tunnels, multipool NAT with H.323 support, VLAN and QoS prioritization (IEEE 802.1p, IP TOS/DSCP), and integration with Astra’s proprietary MINT protocol. Voice and RTP-aware superpacketing ensures low-latency delivery for real-time applications.

The base station offers a Gigabit Ethernet interface with SFP and sync support, consuming up to 20 W. Power options include AC, DC, and PoE. The rugged outdoor enclosure is rated IP66/IP67 for protection against dust and water ingress.
