The Astra Quanta Q4-E is a high-performance 4 GHz point-to-point (PTP) radio designed for ultra-long-range wireless connectivity. With dual N-type connectors for external antennas, the unit supports links exceeding 200 kilometers, making it ideal for backhaul in remote or challenging environments.

It operates across a frequency range of 4000–5000 MHz and supports channel widths from 3.5 MHz up to 56 MHz. The Q4-E delivers net throughput of up to 650 Mbps in a 56 MHz channel, 460 Mbps in 40 MHz, and 230 Mbps in 20 MHz channels. Advanced radio technologies, including MIMO 2x2 with SC-FDE and 14 modulation and coding schemes (from QPSK 1/4 to QAM256 7/8), ensure efficient spectral usage and robust link performance.

The unit features automatic bitrate and transmit power control, distance learning, configurable uplink/downlink ratios (50:50 to 92:8), and selectable airframe durations (1, 2, 5, 10 ms) to optimize link performance. Built-in spectrum analyzer and antenna alignment tools simplify installation and interference management, while DFS/radar detection ensures regulatory compliance.

Networking capabilities include full Layer-2 switching, VLAN 802.1q support, IEEE 802.1p QoS, and transparent Ethernet transport, making it suitable for demanding enterprise and carrier-grade backhaul applications.

The Q4-E is powered via a combo Gigabit Ethernet/SFP interface, consuming up to 15 W, and supports AC, DC, and PoE power options. Its rugged outdoor enclosure and lightweight form factor (1.2 kg) allow rapid deployment in extreme conditions.
